The food here is highly questionable.. I ordered the avocado with poached eggs on sourdough along with a stack of pancakes. The bread tasted old and my partner and I couldn’t even bite into the pancakes. They were cold, chewy and tasteless. We both felt sick afterwards. The service and staff were friendly and kind but the food was such a let down. Do not recommend.

I've ordered food and drinks here now 4 times , drinks wise no complaints. Food on the other hand different story , first visit I had the 2 caramel lattes one decaf one standard beautiful ❤️ and a sausage roll daughter loved that , 2nd time ordered a latte , and a matcha type drink for my daughter no faults, food wise daughter had avocado Sandwhich with halloumi my daughter was satisfied with hers I had all day breakfast not fully satisfied portions were quite small for the money in my opinion, 3rd time again drinks beautiful no faults I ordered a pulled pork roll without cheese as my stomach doesn't agree with it ... It turnt up with cheese that was annoying a disappointing , my daughter order pancakes with strawberry and chocolate sauce I believe it was they were nice , but due to the mix up with mine my daughter ended up eating mine and then couldn't finish what she had ordered , them today I ordered lattes again beautiful no faults , jacket potato with chicken tikka the chicken tikka was like Luke warm and the chicken I'm not convinced it was fully cooked as it was very chewy so I didn't eat that as I'm pregnant. So I'm future I'll only be ordering drinks

Lots of potential. But definitely not there yet. The goods: - Coffee and food came quickly. - Atmosphere was good - Decor was well presented - Clean venue - Lots of tables available, inside and out The bad: - Quallity of food was poor - I ordered shakshuka but it was a small amount of salsa spread on toast with a poached egg on two slices of bread. This cost £8 - The Cappuccino tasted like weak flavoured water - Waiter brought over food but did not disclose what it was so I was left confused thinking was this my food? - Food was bland (little flavour to the avocado dish)

Visited Esquires twice since opening and wanted to leave some honest feedback as the café has a lot of potential and it’s great to see a new local business in the area with clear community support.😊 My first visit was for a matcha and sausage roll. I asked for the sausage roll to be warmed, but it wasn’t. I had already left by the time I noticed. It felt like the team may still be finding their rhythm with managing orders and communication, which is understandable for a new opening. My second visit was better overall and I dined in. I ordered the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs and bacon. Presentation was nice, but the food itself could be improved. The sourdough was quite soft, so toasting it more would give it better texture and make it work nicer with the toppings. The avocado lacked a bit of flavour and freshness, and could benefit from being kept chilled. The bacon also wasn’t crispy or very hot, especially as it wasn’t busy at the time. Overall, the food was around a 2/5 for me this time, but I’m leaving this feedback constructively because the café is new and has lots of potential. With a few tweaks to consistency, communication and food prep, it could become a really great local spot.
